Draft — to be reviewed by a lawyer

The fine print, in plain words.

Nobody loves legal pages, so we wrote ours the way we'd explain them over coffee. Each one starts with a short summary — the full wording follows.

01 · Terms of use

Terms of use

TL;DR
  • What you make is yours — your ideas, your words, your app.
  • Be kind: don't use Yayable to hurt, trick or spam anyone.
  • You can leave any time, and you can take your app with you.

1.1Who we are and what this covers

Yayable (“we”, “us”) runs yayable.com, where a team of AI helpers turns your idea into an app. These terms are the agreement between you and us whenever you use Yayable — the website, your workspace, and any app you create with it.

By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you're signing up on behalf of a business, you're confirming you're allowed to agree for it.

1.2Your account

You need to be at least 18 to open an account. Please keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by partners you invite.

1.3What you own

Your app is yours. Everything you bring — your ideas, words, pictures and your customers' details — stays yours. Everything our helpers make for you, you own too, once your plan is paid up.

We only use your content to build, run and improve your app for you. We never sell it, and we don't use it to build anyone else's app.

1.4Being a good neighbour

Please don't use Yayable to make something that:

  • breaks the law, or helps someone else break it;
  • tricks people, collects their details without telling them, or sends messages they didn't ask for;
  • harms, harasses or discriminates against anyone;
  • tries to get into other people's apps, or overwhelm ours.

If an app crosses one of these lines, we may pause it. We'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix things, unless it's serious enough that we need to act at once.

1.5Plans, payments and refunds

Some things are free, some need a paid plan. Prices are shown on our pricing page before you pay, and paid plans renew until you cancel. You can cancel whenever you like and your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. If something goes wrong on our side, write to us — we're reasonable people.

1.6When things go wrong

We work hard to keep your app running and your information safe, but no service is perfect. We provide Yayable “as is”, and — as far as the law allows — our responsibility for any loss is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law.

1.7Leaving, and changes to these terms

You can close your account at any time from Settings. Before you go, you can download your app and all its information. If we ever need to change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect.

02 · Privacy note

Privacy note

TL;DR
  • We collect only what we need to build and run your app.
  • We never sell your information or your customers' information.
  • You can see, download or delete your information whenever you want.

2.1What we collect

  • About you: your name, email, and how you pay us.
  • What you tell your helpers: your idea, your answers, and the pictures and words you add.
  • How you use Yayable: which pages you visit and which buttons you press, so we can make things easier.

2.2Your customers' information

When your customers use your app, their details belong to you. We look after them on your behalf and only use them to run your app. You decide who they are shared with — and you're responsible for telling your customers what you do with their details. We give you a ready-made privacy note for your app to help.

2.3How we use it

To build and run your app, to answer you when you write to us, to keep accounts safe, to send you the occasional tip (you can switch those off), and to understand what's confusing so we can fix it.

2.4Our AI helpers

Your helpers read what you share so they can do their job. We don't use your content, or your customers' information, to train AI models for anyone else. A small number of trusted partners process information for us under strict agreements; we list them on request.

2.5Keeping it safe

Your information is locked away when it's stored and when it travels. Each app keeps its information separate from every other app, and only a few people on our team can reach it — and only when you ask for help.

2.6How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open. When you close it, we delete your information within 30 days, apart from what the law says we must keep for longer, like invoices.

2.7Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your information at any time, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. The quickest way is to write to [email protected].

03 · Cookies

Cookies (the small kind)

TL;DR
  • A few cookies keep you signed in — those have to stay.
  • Counting visits is optional, and off until you say yes.
  • No advertising cookies. Not now, not ever.

3.1What a cookie is

A cookie is a tiny note your browser keeps for a website, so the site remembers you between pages — like remembering you're signed in.

3.2The ones we need

These keep you signed in, remember your choices and stop other people pretending to be you. Yayable doesn't work without them.

NameWhat it doesKept for
yay_sessionKeeps you signed in30 days
yay_guardMakes sure forms really came from youUntil you close the tab
yay_prefsRemembers your cookie choice12 months

3.3The ones you can say no to

With your permission, we count visits so we know which pages help and which ones confuse. The counts are anonymous and never shared with advertisers.

3.4Cookies in the apps you make

Apps made with Yayable use the same approach: only what's needed to sign customers in, unless you turn on visit counting — and then your app asks your customers first.

3.5Changing your mind

You can change your choice any time from your account settings, or clear cookies in your browser. Either way, only the cookies you say yes to come back.

This page is a working draft written in plain English. It will be reviewed by a lawyer before Yayable launches, and the reviewed wording will replace it.
